Cats in particular seem to know a how to find help, and so JD has rescued numerous kittens and cats over the years.

Shauna was born and raised in Emmett. As a fourth-generation farmer/rancher, some of her earliest memories involve animal care and welfare—birthing, bottle feeding, and caring for lambs and protecting the flock with dogs and guns. After giving up her first career idea (vet) due to the amount of science, time, and tough side of veterinary medicine, Shauna headed to St. Paul, Minnesota and a chance at playing collegiate soccer for Hamline University. She left with a B.A and a deepening passion for coaching and empowering people to excel at life.

Connections led Shauna to northern California to work as a wine harvest intern. That experience led to another position learning wine chemistry and kicked off a 15-year wine industry career at a historic sparkling winery in Napa Valley. Shauna’s roles there revolved around leadership and organizational skills.

She established a committee to bring positive energy to employees and customers which improved morale and sales. She oversaw a large budget with many domestic and international distribution channels. She managed a large, eager team and she’s still happy to highlight their growth and career advancements.

Shauna returned home to Emmett following a sudden stroke. She now spends her time as a proud furmom to two pitties and three kitties and volunteering at the shelter.

“I am excited to bring my energy and an organizational-growth mindset to PAL.”
